Quilt Shops with Classes in Huntsville, AL

4 of the 35 sewing and fabric businesses we list in Huntsville have classes or workshops.

A map pin shows you a fabric store, not a syllabus — there's no way to tell from a search listing whether a shop runs beginner block-of-the-month classes or just sells yardage off the bolt. Every shop tagged here has a class schedule, workshop calendar, or sign-up page confirmed on its own website.

Call ahead for the supply list. Most beginner classes run $35-75 for a single 3-hour session or $120-200 for a 4-week series, and the shop usually wants you buying fabric and notions from their own shelves rather than bringing your own — ask when you book so you're not caught short on day one.

Good to know

Do quilt shops offer beginner classes?

Most independent quilt shops run a beginner or 'learn to quilt' series, usually 3-4 sessions of 2-3 hours each, priced around $100-180 total including a kit. Many also post a monthly class calendar on their website or Facebook page covering everything from paper piecing to longarm certification.

How much do quilting classes cost?

A single one-day workshop typically runs $35-90 depending on the pattern and whether the kit is included, while multi-week series average $120-250. Block-of-the-month clubs are usually billed monthly, often $15-30 per block.
